Now 64, Cecilia—whose gorgeous complexion makes her a skin care role model—is not just crushing it in her career, she’s solidly on top of this whole thing called life.

VIVANT

INQUIRES

Cecilia Valdez shares her love for skin care, health and coffee.

GOOD MORNING, GORGEOUS!
What’s first, coffee or skin care?
I’m Cuban so I cannot function well without my morning coffee, but definitely, I will not leave my house without my morning skin care regime.

WAKE UP & SHINE
Tell us about your a.m. skin care regimen.
I use Vivant's Green Tea Antioxidant Cleanser followed by the Daily Repair Pads to condition and prep my skin. After that, I apply Spin Trap, and the all-important Day Treatment Lotion as my moisturizer and SPF protection.

TONER OR TUNE OUT?
Do you use a toner?
Yes. I love the Daily Repair Pads because they’re self-contained. Just a swipe and my skin is refined and ready for the next product.

GLAMOUR GURU
What advice do you give your clients?
The most important thing is to love and accept you. If you love yourself, you take good care of your skin and your body, and most importantly, your soul. Having a good attitude reflects on every aspect of your life.

LOVE YOUR WORK
What’s the best thing about what you do?
It’s very rewarding to see the changes in my client’s skin after treatments and skin regimens.

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOTTLE
Other than product, what do you think has the most impact on the health of your skin?
Good nutrition. Healthy eating habits. Drink lots of water. Avoid exposure to the sun. Always use sun protection. And absolutely avoid smoking. It’s the worst thing to your skin.

SKIN CARE CONVENTIONS, MISS OR MANDATORY?
I like conventions. They are a great way to find out about new treatments, products and also to meet a lot of people that share your same passion: SKIN CARE.

THE INTERWEBS
Social or No Show?
Social for sure! Social media is a great way to let people know about your business. These days everybody is using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and many more. To me, social media is a super way to promote business. It works great for me.

BEAUTY SLEEP
How important is sleep to your beauty regimen?
Getting a good night’s sleep is incredibly important. At least six hours of nonstop sleep is great for your skin and enhances any regimen you’re using. Having a rested face in the morning is key to making your skin care regimen work. At my age, six hours of sleep is perfect.

BOTOX OR NOTOX?
I do use Botox, I love it…but Botox does nothing for the skin texture so you have to complement it with a good skin care regimen.
